What is Amine Treating?
Amine treating is a gas processing method used to remove acidic gases, primarily hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and carbon dioxide (CO₂), from natural gas, refinery gas, synthesis gas, and other industrial process streams using amine-based solvents. Also known as gas sweetening, the process improves gas quality by selectively absorbing acid gases while allowing the treated gas to pass through for downstream processing or transportation.
